JC led Callum in Goatchurch to water chamber @RichM: Another adventure for Callum in Goatchurch on a different route than before. Main entrance, giants staircase, "drunken passage", Bloody tight, boulder chamber, water chamber, drain pipe and return up over the coffin lid and out through tradesmans. Saw 3 other groups, Callum did really well and gave Jon & I good leading practice.
Digging @RichM: Mixed two loads of cement, whilst Aubrey was wall building outside the cervix I started digging on the far side assisted by Jude and latter joined by Murray - very interesting progress but a little uncomfortable as head first down a hole.
Exploration trip in SRM @RichM: A good explore of the intricacies of the mine exploring many of the dead ends and interconecting passages
@RichM: Swan, Rowberrow, Blackdown, Charterhouse, Tynings. Bad ride
@RichM: Shipham, Dolberrow Bottom, Reads cavern, Rowberrow, Firebreak, Tynings, Warrens hill, Cheddar, Strawberry line, Axbridge, Winscombe & return
Digging @RichM: Very warm evening with hard work, cleared lots of broken glass from bottom of entrance pitch. Hauled in 12x 25kg bags of sand and 2 of cement for further stabilisation work. Had help with pitch hauling - first trip in for Jed so I took him on a tour upto the appendix [he declined invite to go up it] Cervix now much larger after last weeks trip.
JC led Andy down into Swildons to head of the twenty @JonnyC: The time was right to progress Andy from Goatchurch, so as an eye opener we decided to show him the wonders of Swildon's. A pleasant trip over the rift, through the zig zags, short dry way, old grotto, wet way to the head of the twenty, then back out via the wet way. Andy was suitably impressed, and did extremely well.
Digging @RichM: Clearing up some spoil, pontification on way forwards and chemical enlargement of the cervix 1.5 40g
Exploring the North West stream passage. @JonnyC: Nice trip down a fairly dry Swildon's hole, down the wet way, through sump one, the landing and on to North West Stream passage, stopping at the traverse and pitch due to lack of gear. A swift exit via the short dry way. A very nice trip.
@RichM: Ride out through Rowberrow across Blackdown to Charterhouse then Road to Tynings and back through Rowberrow
