Digging @RichM: Cleared lots of spoil whilst other wall building dug down about a foot, lots more loose sand and gravel to come out. Had to mount a rescue mission - 1 large newt found trapped between two pitches, packaged inside my gloves and conveyed to surface in tackle bag, released apparently no worse for the ordeal

I definately recognised a lot of it, but I think Rich did a little better piecing it all together. From the entrance we took the mid level passage over the boulder into the boulder chamber, from there we started out by exploring the pit.
