A quick stroll to sump one via the short dry after a damp day on Mendip @JonnyC: Took the opportunity to meet up with RM for a quick trip through the short dry to sump one and back, a little shocked by my fitness levels as stopped a number of times to catch my breath, a lesson is to be learned from this. Nice catch up.
Following torrential rain on Mendip the planned trip into Swildons was not possible so ensued a fun trip around Goatchurch. Entering via the main entrance, drunkards passage, bloody tight, the terrace, boulder chamber, coffin lid, to the water chamber, drain pipe and exiting via the nameless chamber, dinning room and tradesman entrance

Heading out from Neuadd reservoir with a loose plan of doing the Pen Y Fan horseshoe clockwise, however with poor weather forecast gusts up to 70mph, rain and snow we headed up the track to Bwlch Far y Fan. With conditions deteriorating with snow and hail and visibility under 5 metres we dropped down and did a circular route down round Pentwyn reservoir 16.25 km
