Summary

A unplanned cycle around some of the scenic parts of Bristol
Comment by @JonnyC on Wednesday 22 June 2022
Having booked a day off work, and only having commitments to book end the day, I couldn't justify taking a boat out solo, so threw the bike in the van instead. Starting out from Greville Smythe Park, I proceeded to attempt a few geocaches and an adventurelab, enjoying the sunshine and generally taking it steady. A visit to Brunel's other bridge got me chatting to an older lady who recalled racing across the bridge to get to work in the days when Hartcliffe was being built. Having made my way up to the downs, Lady's Mile led me to my second Halford's inner tube failure of recent, with a split against the valve (the same as last time), so I walked the bike to blackboy hill cycles to purchase a replacement and sat in the sun on the downs to effect the repair. Enjoying a freewheel down through Ashton Court before heading to Temple Meads and the SS Great Britain to finish my adventurelab objective.
