Very fortunate to be invited to Switzerland for the lead up to Christmas and learn to ski!

With a third national lockdown looming I stole the opportunity to dash to Switzerland for 2 weeks before Christmas. Lucky enough to be hosted by Abi's family, this included a 5 day stay in Saas Fee ski resort. Abi's sister is a qualified ski instructor (at 16y/o) so I had 2 days of free lessons and 2 days free-ski. Great progress towards parallel skiing (almost entirely by the end), and some great, long blue slopes were enjoyed. This is definitely a trip that has provoked much jealousy from those around me. And rightly so.

A bit of spice was added to the trip by having return flights cancelled and thinking I would be there for Christmas day (much to my Mum's disappointment), however a last minute opening of the French/UK boarder allowed me to drive to France (slash, generously be driven) and get home on Christmas eve!
